Objective To measure the level of the antibody against muscle-specific tyrosine kinase (MuSKAb) in seronegative myasthenia gravis (SNMG) among Chinese. Methods Using immunoprecipitation method, we measured the level of the serum acetylcholine receptor antibody (AChRAb) in 198 cases of myasthenia gravis (MG). After we had screened out 37 SNMG serum, we detected the level of the serum MuSKAb in SNMG by immunoprecipitation method again. Results The results showed the level of AchRAb in MG was significantly higher than that in control's (P<0.05), and the positive rate was 81.30%. But no MuSKAb was detected in 37 SNMG patient sera. Conclusions Low frequency of MuSKAb in SNMG are found among Chinese.
